Job Description
The Law Offices of Barton Morris is looking for a high energy and dynamic Sales Intake Specialist to provide sales support. This individual will be responsible for taking all incoming calls, qualifying leads, scheduling appointments with our Director of Client Relations and attorneys, and working other leads, as assigned.
The Sales Intake Specialist's goals include engaging, qualifying, scheduling, and advancing the sales cycle as quickly and effectively as possible. You’ll be one of the first touch points for our potential clients and set the tone for the business relationship.
As we’re growing very rapidly, the right individual will be on a path to become a commissioned Sales Development Representative (SDR).
Responsibilities
Take all incoming calls, determine if there’s a need and buget, and qualify
Articulate value proposition, share pricing, overcome objections, and, if qualified, convince the lead their best chance of getting the result they want is by retaining our firm
- Schedule appointments with our Director of Client Relations and, as appropriate, our attorneys
- Respond, engage, and qualify all leads and inquiries in a timely and determined manner
- Qualify an ever-increasing % of leads, and do so more efficiently over time through training, real world calls, and constructive feedback based on your recorded conversations
- Hold intelligent and engaging conversations by phone, email, text, and other tools that are determined to be effective (i.e. meeting customers where they are)
- Have a firm grasp on our pricing and how much room there is for negotiation
- Develop an expert and constantly evolving understanding of both practice areas, criminal and cannabis
- Be sure everyone who contacts the firm for help is better off for their effort. This may take the form of a referral and sharing free resources produced by the firm
- Set our attorneys up for success with new clients by gathering pertinent information and entering it into our CRM
- Work with your manager, our Director of Client Relations, and our CEO to continue honing your qualifications skills based on their feedback and subject matter expertise
- Maintain and run accurate reports and share insights specific to your KPIs, which include but are not limited to conversion rates, appointments scheduled, and appointment show rates
- Never stop learning about our business, clients, our services, competitors, and how they tie together
QualificationsExceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence
- Either previous successful sales experience or a strong desire to begin a highly successful sales career
- Track record of meeting and exceeding goals
- Naturally curious and passionate; you’re a lifelong learner
- A "one-speed" energy with a highly self-driven sense of motivation
- The ability to deal with and thrive on objections and rejection on a daily basis
- Positive attitude
- Team player, a bridge between those in our office (where you’ll be located) and our remote employees
Compensation, Benefits and Bonuses
The firm uses a performance based compensation model. The lowest base compensation is $40,000, which increases commensurate with a candidate’s experience. The base salary is earned when the minimum levels of performance are achieved. When KPIs have been exceeded, bonus compensation is then earned; the amount of which is commensurate with the value to the firm. A full benefit package is included which includes health & disability insurance, 401k, paid time off, paid holidays, and more.
Office Work Environment
The firm currently resides in Class A fully renovated office space located in downtown Royal Oak in close proximity to several retail and restaurant destinations. We have a private parking lot and work in a private office which maintains about 15 employees therein. Employees and clients love our office space, which is representative of our success. The firm fosters a team culture and encourages the building of friendships between team members outside of work. The firm maintains an annual golf outing, hosts several team building activities and holiday parties.
Selection Process
The firm is very selective when adding team members. It is important that we take the time to ensure the right mutual fit. All elected candidates will undergo a comprehensive selection process. Selected candidates will undergo cognitive and behavior assessments, a screening interview (Zoom), a focused interview (in person) reference checks and the CEO interview (in person).
