Job Description
The Law Offices of Barton Morris provides a range of corporate services for a variety of industries.
This position works with the CEO, fellow attorneys, paralegals and administrative assistants to achieve outstanding results for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, closing documents, etc.
- Perform real estate transactions and closings.
- Obtain licenses for a variety of service industries.
- Draft cannabis license applications and various documents pertaining to the multiple step process.
- Perform due diligence on behalf of clients seeking to purchase membership or shareholder interests.
- Bill a minimum of 1,440 annual and collectable hours while providing an exceptional client experience.
- Perform due diligence activities on behalf of clients seeking to purchase membership or shareholder interests.
- Perform research and assist with projects as needed.
Minimum Experience
J.D. from an accredited law school
Valid law license and in good standing with the Michigan Bar Association.
- 2+ years of experience as a corporate attorney
- Experience in real estate, corporate law, regulatory compliance and/or business litigation

Compensation and Benefits
Compensation commensurate with experience. A benefit package is included which is health insurance, 401k, paid time off and paid holidays.

Our 20-employee firm is conveniently located in Troy. We outgrew our former space in Royal Oak and recently moved to our newly renovated suite where we occupy the entire 6th floor. The firm fosters a team culture and encourages the building of friendships and maintains activities where we all gather outside and inside of work for good laughs and great conversation.
